Websites - Capturing Visitors Data

Posted by: karen

When reviewing clients websites, I always ask “How many unique visitors do you get on your website each day”?

Some clients I am glad to say know straight away and others sadly do not even have access to their website statistics. So how important is it to know how many visitors have looked at your website on a daily basis? Well let me give you an example:

Example website gets approx 200 visitors a day, and what can they do on the website?

  1. They look at the products/services available
  2. They check out the history of the company
  3. They might look at some case studies
  4. They can send an enquiry
  5.

And then they leave the website, will they ever return, can you contact them in the future with promotions or special offers?

You have invested in a website, therefore you need to ensure that you maximise the ROI (Return on investment) on your website. To do this you must have a “persuasive” purpose for your website – How:

  • Get someone to subscribe to a newsletter or Top Tips,
  • To register – for a free download
  • To enquire – send an email
  • To buy – sell online

All the above will allow you to capture data from visitors to your website so you can market to them in the future.

I hope you have found this useful and if you would like to find out more about increasing visits to your website and converting those visitors into potential customers then please contact me on 07786 936441 or email me karen@bloomhost.net
